Courtney Alexander began his
professional career in 2000. He was selected
in the first round of the
2000 NBA Draft (13th overall). He played for
a few teams and alongside some of the best
to ever play the game like Michael Jordan.
|
|
He ran on the hardwood playing relentlessly
for the NBA for 6 years. Unfortunately, his
professional career was abruptly derailed by
several injuries. While attempting to
rehabilitate Courtney decided to dedicate
his efforts into transforming the lives of
young men in his community. He and his wife, Joi’el Alexander, founded Courtney
Alexander’s Georgia Press.He is also a
husband to Joi’el Alexander and father of
three.
|
 |
Before joining forces with her husband,
Courtney Alexander, to co-found Courtney
Alexander’s Georgia Press, Joi’el Alexander worked as VP Marketing and
Alliances for UptownScoop.com. |
|
There she led the
overall development and execution of all
marketing programs that drove business and
facilitated the reaching of key subscriber
milestones at national and local levels.
Alexander joined UptownScoop after spending
3 years in the financial services industry
as a financial advisor at citi smith-barney
and 4 years as an executive at Frito-Lay.
Alexander is a graduate of Duke University,
a native New Yorker and a proud mother of 3,
Courtney II, Cameron and Ciara.
